Biz Workshop w/ LISC Indy: Sole Proprietorship to LLC

On September 28, we hosted a workshop in partnership with LISC Indy to help ten Black entrepreneurs transition from sole proprietors to entrepreneurs with limited liability companies!

This two-hour workshop taught entrepreneurs to complete the following tasks:

  • Discussing the benefits and risks of sole proprietorship

  • Assistance with getting LLC structure registered with the State of Indiana

  • Showed entrepreneurs how to obtain an Employer Identification Number

  • Showed entrepreneurs how to order a Certificate of Existence

LISC Indy provided the monetary resources for all ten of these entrepreneurs to register their businesses with the State of Indiana AND order a Certificate of Existence for FREE!
